Georgia Poh
Associate Psychologist
Facilitator at a FreEDom
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology(Minor in Communications and New Media)
Georgia’s interest in psychology began when she took it as a subject in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, where she became fascinated by how people think, feel, and adapt to different experiences. This early curiosity led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at the National University of Singapore, with a Minor in Communications and New Media. As part of her studies, she spent a semester at the University of Mannheim in Germany, where she explored areas such as forensic psychology, organizational psychology, and contemplative science in preventive and clinical contexts.
Over the years, Georgia has volunteered in a range of settings, including working with children with special needs, teaching English overseas, and supporting secondary school students who faced challenges in school and daily life. These experiences deepened her empathy and strengthened her belief in the importance of early intervention and accessible psychological support for every individual. Before joining Better Life, she also taught English at The Learning Lab, where she worked closely with children aged three to ten and developed a strong appreciation for how encouragement, patience, and understanding can help young people thrive.
At Better Life, Georgia works with individuals experiencing a range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, eating disorders, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She also facilitates FreEDom, Better Life’s Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Day Program, where she supports clients through guided meal sessions, mindfulness activities, and group discussions, helping them apply principles from evidence-based therapies such as CBT and ACT.
Georgia believes in creating a compassionate and collaborative space where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful change. Outside of work, she enjoys playing basketball, travelling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog. She values curiosity, connection, and kindness, and brings these qualities to every aspect of her work and life.
