Devika is currently a counselling psychology doctoral candidate with Middlesex University. She obtained a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Nottingham and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Bath.
She has obtained extensive work and volunteer experience with children and adolescents in the social sector (in early intervention, special education, and hospital settings). She is passionate about and finds it extremely rewarding to help individuals navigate through life’s challenges and cope with their mental health, and has a particular interest in mood and anxiety-related disorders as well as PTSD and attachment-related difficulties.
As a professional, she aims to provide her clients with a non-judgmental and comforting space, fostering empathy and compassion towards their experiences. Her goal is to create a collaborative working relationship built on confidence and strongly believes in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship. She is also a strong believer in the mind-body connection and strives to treat clients in a holistic manner, emphasising both physical and emotional aspects of wellbeing.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, creating art, exploring new food spots, and spending time with her pet dog. She is also enthusiastic about traveling and fitness (and particularly loves watersports!)
